Three of Lahey Hospital & Medical Center’s registered dietitians presented a talk on identifying and treating malnutrition in the acute care hospital at Medical Grand Rounds on March 14. Pictured are Allison Herrick, RD, Katherine Lundy, RD, and Sara O’Brien, MS, RD. The inpatient dietitians have embarked on an effort to document malnutrition based on objective evidence, and coding for these diagnoses has increased. This results in better outcomes for our patients, and more accurate diagnostic coding.
