Indian Food Special at the World Cuisine Station at the Cafeteria at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center

As part of our Production team "Culinary Special Series", we present Indian Food special at the World Cuisine Station at the Cafeteria yesterday during lunch. The menu was planned by Chef Ravi Rajkarnikar who is originally from Nepal.

The menu consisted of:
Murgh Saagwala (Chicken with Spinach)
Dhingri Chole (Mushrooms with Chickpeas)
Basmati Rice
Naan bread
Samosa (Made in house by our production team)

For $7.95, the special also came with a choice of bottled water or soft drinks

The special was a great success! The special was sold out during lunch!

According to David Cox, Executive Chef, this is a great way for the production team to learn different world cuisines and cooking techniques. Recently, Chef Justin Melanson, our sous chef  went to Arizona to visit his family. While he was there, he prepared Indian food for them. Not only were they impressed with the fact that Justin knew how to cook Indian cuisine, they also commented it's the best Indian food they ever had!

Special thanks to Chef Ravi, the production and retail team for introducing diversity at work and beyond through our world cuisine station.
