In New England, there are lots of things happening this weekend. This Saturday, we are paying close attention to the potential storm, in addition to the NFL playoff this coming Sunday between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.
Most people would like to stay in this weekend or have plans to watch the game with family and friends. But, for our colleagues that are working in the Healthcare or Hospitality industries, this weekend could be one of the most challenging weekends of this winter.
Last year, on January 30, 2015, we experienced the biggest blizzard in New England history, Winter Storm Juno http://www.weather.com/storms/winter/news/winter-storm-juno-blizzard-boston-nyc-new-england. During this blizzard, with a patient count of 298 in house, we served a total of 810 meals and all of our colleagues showed up to work and I know that our colleagues will do the same this weekend. I would like to dedicate this blog post to all colleagues that will be working this weekend!
I am so proud to be part of the Food & Nutrition team. Thank you for putting patients at the heart of everything we do!
