Have you heard the phrase- You eat with your eyes?

Have you heard the phrase "You eat with your eyes"?

Yesterday, during lunch at the cafeteria at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington, Ayoub Aitbouresque, one of my colleagues from the Food and Nutrition department stopped me with a bright smile. He asked me "Have you seen it?". His smile grew bigger as he awaited my answer. I was wondering what he meant and asked him to explain to me. He walked me to the grill and showed me the demonstration plate that he set up for the Farmstead Fried Egg Burger combo, which is part of the special "Americana Farm and Fields" promotion at the cafeteria.

Ayoub with the Americana Farms and Fields- Farmstead Fried Egg Burger combo

His display looked so fresh and organized, it instantly made me feel like taking a bite from the plate!

Ayoub- Thank you so much for reminding us, we DO eat with our eyes first!

When I go home tonight, instead of simply scooping my meals on the plate, I am going to arrange my dinner plate nicely. Thank you for reminding me on the little things that makes life and eating more enjoyable!

I hope Ayoub's story will inspire all readers to use their creativity during mealtime.

Drop me a note if you did try. I promise, I will share it with Ayoub!
